Philippe is from Belgium and lives in Brussels, where he teaches at two art schools. Working with a wide range of mediums, tools and shapes, he takes pleasure in creating illustrations through a combination of painting, drawing, printing and use of Photoshop. The result is imagery with a handmade and slightly off-kilter feel that imparts a fresh originality.

The Duvel jury chose Philippe’s design as the winner for this freshness that really stood out, together with its inventive interaction with the beer inside the glass and the skilfully hidden incorporation of the Duvel name. A fitting finishing touch for such an iconic glass.
